Evaluation of Telehealth Satisfaction
Healthcare is constantly changing and evolving. One way that healthcare has exponentially grown recently is the telehealth sector. Only some healthcare visits can transition to a virtual format. For those appointments that can, telehealth can save time and money and improve patient satisfaction if the technology is available, well-functioning, and user-friendly for patients and staff (Parmanto, Lewis, Graham, and Bertolet, 2016). Telehealth can be especially beneficial in rural communities with access or transportation barriers to receiving treatment. Patient satisfaction is essential to providing quality healthcare (Kruse, Krowski, Rodriguez, Tran, Vela, & Brooks, 2017). Telehealth can bridge that gap between not receiving care and receiving good care. Utilizing telehealth will increase overall patient satisfaction and healthcare utilization.
